How it Works

Quotation

When you contact us regarding a fire assessment, we will take some details from you, and based on the information you provide we will submit an all inclusive quotation. This quotation will cover all elements of the assessment, including the site visit and the creation of a comprehensive fire safety assessment report. If our quotation is acceptable we will organise a convenient appointment and conduct a site visit. We will also provide you with a scope document, along with our terms and conditions, which clarify what to expect from our visit and subsequent report.

The Visit

The inspection of the premises will take between forty minutes and one hour. In advance of our site visit we will ask you to provide, where possible, various pieces of documentation, such as certificates for the heating and electrical systems and PAT testing certification. Don’t worry if you do not have all of these pieces of information to hand. However, these documents will help provide us with useful information in the creation of your fire risk assessment.

Whilst at your premises our assessor will require access to all areas of the building including, where relevant, the loft spaces. Whilst on site the assessor will take a number of photographs, notes and measurements during the site visit. They will also need to ask some questions about the property, so it would be very helpful if someone is present at the visit who has knowledge of the property.

The Report

Within a few working days of the site visit we will have produced and sent to you a comprehensive fire assessment report that conforms to current legislation. The report will detail all the findings at the property and will include some suggestions for where improvements may be required so the premises conforms to the latest legislation. We take a pragmatic approach and will make every effort to help you find the most cost-effective ways of improving the fire safety of your property.

After the Report

We are available to answer any questions you have about the report and to assist wherever we can. It is recommended that a fire safety assessment is done every year or after any substantive change to the property. We offer a discounted price for reports on premises for which we have produced the previous year’s report.
